Why didn't my press-on nails last as long as I expected with glue?Updated 7 days ago

If your press-ons popped off sooner than expected, it's usually about prep, fit, or glue amount, not the glue itself.

How to get the longest wear with glue:

- Avoid water for 1 hour before (and after!) application (water is adhesion's worst enemy)

- Use the right size: Nails that are too big can lift early

- Apply enough glue to fully cover the nail surface, but not so much that it floods the sides

- Press and hold firmly for at least 30 seconds to seal the bond

Pro tips:

- If you want short-term wear, use a thinner layer of glue

- For longer wear, make sure the entire nail is evenly coated and fully pressed down with no air bubbles

When applied with the right prep and fit, glue-applied press-ons can last 7+ days.
