How do I use Peel-Off Base Coat with gel or builder gel?Updated 8 days ago
Peel-Off Base Coat makes removal fast and damage-free, but application matters, especially with gel and builder gel.
- Apply a super thin coat, wiping almost everything off the brush before applying
- Apply only to the center of the nail, leaving a small border of bare nail around the edges (including the tip)
- Let it air-dry for 1-2 minutes, no curing needed
- When it's no longer glossy, it's dry (glossy = too thick)
Important formula notes:
- For gel manicures, always apply Gel Base Coat after Peel-Off Base Coat - skipping Gel Base Coat can cause early peeling or lifting
- For builder gel, Peel-Off Base Coat is optional. If you want maximum wear (up to 21 days), we recommend skipping Peel-Off Base Coat
Pro tips: use thin, even layers of gel or builder gel; clean up any gel on skin before curing to prevent lifting; cap the free edge to help prevent chips. Head to Olive University for full tutorials.
